Meet our team

  • Rebecca Lawire

    Manager & Owner

Hello, I’m Becca. In 2012, I started working in a private nursery, moving to a crèche in 2015, where I became the manager. During this time, I completed my SVQ Level 3 as well as my BA in Childhood Practice. I have a huge interest in children’s sleep and sleep habits, so in 2019 I qualified as a Child Sleep Consultant.

Over time, I realised there was a need for ad-hoc childcare so parents can have a break - a couple of hours to recharge or run errands goes a long way! I love seeing children flourish and grown and I love to build trusting relationships with the parents here at Raising Little Ones.

As well as looking after your little ones, I have two of my own Little Ones. You will probably see/hear Ava in the playroom with your children and Brodie is usually sleeping beside me while I work/ juggle parenting and work.

  • Orla Leitch

Hello, my name is Orla. I have been working with children now for just over 5 years. I joined RLO in October 2021 and now, after completing my SVQ level 7 in Social Services, Children and Young People, I am the Lead Practitioner of the Playroom. and work with a number of lovely families, nannying and babysitting for them.

As well as RLO, I nanny for 2 lovely families in the afternoons!

I absolutely love working with children and have experience working with children from new born to 13 years old. During lockdown I helped with online learning/teaching for many of the families that I help on a regular basis by creating lessons that were fun and engaging.

  • Erin Bowen

    Practitioner

Hello, my name is Erin. I have been working with children for 4 years now. Before starting at RLO I previously worked at a private nursery where I gained my SVQ in social services (children and young people) SCQF level 7 and became a qualified practitioner. I have been a qualified practitioner since September 2022.

I absolutely love working with children and enjoy watching them grow, achieve new goals and reach their milestones. I have a passion for working with children and my passion grows each day.

Alongside RLO I babysit for a lovely family on some weekends, and in my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends.

I cant wait to meet all of your little ones and watch them grow and develop.

  • Callie Sproule

    Support Worker

Hi, I’m Callie. I am half way through the NC in Child Development and looking forward to the working with the children at RLO. I love building bonds with and I am excited to see the children achieve their goals.

Before starting at RLO, I did some volunteering at an afterschool club for children aged 5- 13 so I am looking forward to working with younger children an helping them develop their curiosity and creativity.

In my free time, I love being with my family and younger brother. He is the reason I am working in childcare.

  • Hannah Schafer

    Support Worker

Hi, I’m Hannah and I started at RLO in September 2024! I’ve been working with children since 2018, beginning with volunteering at the Royal Sick Kids Hospital.

Since then, I regularly babysit, and have worked with a family with a toddler and newborn as a befriender. I volunteer as a Sunday School Leader for ages 0-11 at my local church, entertaining and engaging children in play and discussion. I have also worked two residential summer camps in Scotland for ages 7-17, where I led songs, art and craft lessons, and learnt to let out my silly side!

I completed my BSc Psychology with Honours at The University of Edinburgh this year, and hope to complete an MSc in Applied Psychology with Children and Young People next year!

  • Connie Knowles
