Privacy Policy
Respecting privacy and confidentiality is of the utmost importance to Raising Little Ones, however due to legislation and policy, the setting are required to store relevant information on each child and their parents/carers. It is vital for staff working with Raising Little Ones to adhere to, and respect, the need for confidentiality and discretion.
All information provided by parents, carers, children or staff will be kept in a lock filing cabinet or kept on file with access only by the manager. Children’s files will be accessible to all staff and the individual’s parents. Parents will only be allowed access to their own child’s information.
Feedback at the end of the session will be professional and if any comments or longer conversations are to be had, the staff are happy to discuss things in confidence in a quieter space.
Raising Little Ones staff are aware that many parents come to them for advice. If parents would like to arrange a meeting or have a chat in a quieter area this can be arranged. Discretion and confidentiality will be respected.
Staff files will be kept in a locked filing cabinet, where only the manager has access. Staff can view their own personnel files at any time.
Staff will not discuss any child (or their families) personal matters with other families or anyone outside the settings team.
When babysitting has been agreed with parents, staff must not divulge any information for example- other children or families, financial matters or incidents.
Where there is a cause for concern in regards to the child’s wellbeing, the correct procedures will be carried out. This will remain confidential with the highest discretion.
Staff discussing matter with any person who is not involved directly in the matter will be asked to a disciplinary meeting.
