JULY ROUND UP

We have spent a lot of time in the garden over the month of July. We explored some of our new garden resources. A firm favourite was the new foam balls. We all practiced our throwing skills and talked about where it is safe to throw the balls and where it is not safe to throw the balls. This ensured we were keeping ourselves and others safe.

This month our little ones have been really into role play and have spent a lot of time in our home corner. We’ve been working a on sharing and taking turns when playing families. The children have been really interested in looking after the baby dolls so we’ve been encouraging them to put this into practice with our younger ones here at RLO.

Our theme throughout July has been summer holidays. The little ones have been thoroughly enjoying taking part in the themed activities.

OUTDOOR CHALK PAINTING - Our little ones were encouraged to sit in a circle and take it in turns to go around the circle and choose their favourite colour. After all of our friends choose their favourite colour we added the colour to the flour and started mixing. After everybody had their turn we all started painting and got messy.

SAYING GOODBYE AND GOODLUCK

Over the summer holidays we have said goodbye to lots of our friends. After summer they are heading off to start their new chapter. Either at a new nursery or are heading into P1.

A big thank you to all of our little ones who have attended RLO. We will miss you and we wish you all the luck on your new adventure.
